Nest of drawers in historic paint
A flight of fifteen drawers, likely from a seed merchants store. Dry scraped back to the historic blue/green paint finish that covers an earlier red stain. Pine in construction and of a good useful size, the white ceramic handles appear to be original. The drawers were clearly built in to a larger scheme and one side is fully painted whilst the other only half, the top also only has paint on the front quarter.
In good useable order, the drawers run freely, the original backboards are present, there is some old worm damage as is to be expected with pine of this age but it has been treated and is no longer live.
French 1840 - 1880
Height 55 cm ( 21 3/4”)
Width 115 cm ( 45 1/4”)
Depth 33 cm ( 13’)
